My name is Rhea and I am a fully insured Sports Therapist and STOTT and APPI Pilates Instructor. I studied at the University of Hertfordshire and graduated in 2006. From then the concept of Real Motion Sports Injury Management began. Following a growing interest in Pilates, I qualified as a Pilates Instructor in 2016.
- BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy
- Member of the Society of Sports Therapists MSST
- Advanced Level 3 Fitness Instructor
- STOTT Reformer Pilates Instructor
- APPI Pilates Instructor
Since graduating in 2006, Real Motion has been a practicing Sports Therapy provider in both clinical and corporate environments. I worked with Sevenoaks Town Football Club for 3 seasons gaining field of play experience. For 6 years I worked as a gym and class instructor, and consequently developed a functional approach to fitness and rehabilitation. As a Triathlete and triple Ironman finisher I have a deep understanding and empathy of the limitations injury can place upon your daily life. Therefore, I appreciate how important it is to resolve them as effectively and as quickly as possible. Nobody likes a grumpy injured athlete after all! As a result, you can be sure that the level of care you receive from Real Motion is second to none.
In 2016 I took the decision to qualify as a STOTT Reformer Pilates Instructor. I had been practicing Pilates as part of my triathlon training programme and had seen a huge improvement in my core and glute strength. I realised this was knowledge that my Real Motion patients would benefit from, and since qualifying have been helping patients achieve a strong core in a safe and functional way using the Reformer equipment. In 2018, I studied with the APPI and completed my Matwork qualifications.
I am a registered member of The Society of Sports Therapists (www.society-of-sports-therapists.org) and Fitpro, and am committed to undertaking regular Continued Professional Development in order to remain up to date with the latest methods and techniques in the field.
