WHAT IS STOTT PILATES?
STOTT Pilates is a contemporary approach to the original Pilates method developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. It is based on the modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation. Recognised around the world for its quality and training excellence, STOTT PILATES offers varying levels of movement — essential, intermediate and advanced. This therefore ensures the exercise needs of all clients, from post-rehab to elite athlete are met.
Pilates targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine. This consequently improves core stability, posture, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and muscle tone. STOTT Pilates incorporates exercise science principles to help with the rehabilitation and prevention of muscular and spinal injuries, back, neck and joint pain. The exercise repertoire encourages patients to train their bodies in a safe and controlled manner with no tension.
