WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?

The initial session is the beginning of putting together the ‘jigsaw’ of the injury. Personal details and a description of the injury are collected. Therefore, it might be a good idea to think about symptoms, what caused the problem, and aggravating factors. The injured area needs to be seen so please be aware clothing may need to be removed. This helps observe range of movement and carry out muscle and ligament tests. Once all tests have been carried out exercise therapy may be prescribed if necessary. Following this, treatments such as joint mobilisations and/or sports massage are also administered.

STOTT PILATES REFORMER CHARGES:

STOTT Pilates sessions as 1:1 private sessions or 2:1 sessions, payable directly to The Osteopathic Clinic.

60 Minute 1:1 Session £50
60 Minute 2:1 Session £35 each participant

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?

It is advised to wear comfortable workout clothes to Pilates sessions. A postural analysis will be carried out which will determine that the appropriate exercise repertoire is chosen. The session is therefore tailored to each participants individual needs. Following an introduction into the 5 Basic Principles of Pilates, the exercises are advanced. Equipment such as the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Barrell, and also props such as Pilates Balls and Rings are used.
